📣 Your candidates aren't looking for a job.

Making a contribution.

Improving my skills, learning and growing.

Building a career.

Work is part of who I am — it's part of my identity.

Creating something, being part of a team.

Legacy — making an impact on people or places — in a good way.

We recently asked more than 70 people what does work mean to you, these were the most common themes and answers.

People aren't looking for a job. They're looking for a future.

Looking for a new job is an expression of optimism. It's a way of saying 'I want something different, something better'.

Here are some other findings from the research:

Candidates want more information upfront.

4 in 10 people have opted out because they can't find enough information about the role.

People shared that they wished there was more information available and more transparency, earlier in the recruitment process.
